ALL AMERICAN

errrr … I mean Canadian. Obviously. Prep School meets the All American for the Bloggers Do It Better project!

It has rained eleven out of eighteen days. I hate the rain, I hate rain boots too, so if you are a rain boot wearer – beware … yes … even hunters. I only wear them when I absolutely have to, otherwise … I’m rocking heels, well … booties, but still.
I am so proud of Kristina over at Pretty Shiny Sparkly and her Bloggers Do It Better venture. It has really taken off, and proven to work in terms of networking and sending [and receiving] love.
This weeks challenge was Prep School ; but seeing as I am Canadian, and Prep School as well as American tailored-letter-jacket-esq look has never crossed the border, I really had to dig in my walk-in closet. Lucky for me, not to far was a recent find of electric blue high waisted trousers. God I love thrift finds.

I re-tweeted @shopdandy this week, she wrote Blogging is a community not a competition. Support each other, your blog will benefit from that. I truly believe that ; and I hope you [as a reader] do too. I have a small circle of blogging friends, most whom I met at New York Fashion Week, and these girls help me, test me, and teach me – even if they are far far away! I urge us [yes you and I us] to become blogging friends, and push one another.

HOLD ON

For reasons unknown I can no longer write a blurb in between images. FINE wordpress – you win this round. I started my new job a few weeks ago and love it dearly – the fella’s I work with are amazing, they definitely give me a sense of urgency and the desire to explore my creativity. I am very happy to report. They also want to be apart of my blog – [what do YOU think?] want t see some young dapper men from the U.K and S.A on here? lol.

I am going through an insane transitional period in my life, new job, new apartment!! I am so excited but it has taken a ton out of me – so bare with me the next couple of weeks as I try to sort out the pile that is my life.

Also I was playing with the camera settings on my camera and forgot to change the white balance back to normal – whoops! over saturated -

LG INNOVATORS BALL

excuses excuses excuses … when will this girl learn?

Well. I started a new job you see – and among that I am also prepping to move back to the city to really kick it in gear as my [blog] and [corporate] life seem to be on the rise.
I will literally be at a ball tomorrow night – supporting all things Toronto, Fabulous and Fashion. Among that list should be Nerdy – [but it is just a juxtaposition list of words .. so I left it out ...].

Nerdy because the event I am attending is at the Ontario Science Centre, and I pride myself as being somewhat of a nerd, [if I didn't love Media and Fashion so much my dream would be to focus on Marine Biology], and as a kid, the Ontario Science Centre housed all things nerdy and cool – they still do – and want to continue to do so for future kids and parents [and fashionista's] alike.

So off I go to the Innovators Ball tomorrow … I will post a picture, and then dive back into my blog posting bi-weekly.

Check out the video for the event below! Pretty snazzy … only I am in Cinderella’s shoes … I am not prepared with a dress … wish me luck!
