SHE KILLED IT WITH KISSES & FROM THAT SHE FLED – FLORENCE & THE MACHINE ; DOG DAYS ARE OVER

The boyfriend is currently sitting on my couch yelling at the folks on Jersey Shore. Now I know everyone has their own opinion(s) of the “drama with the GTL crew”, but the boyfriends is undoubtedly the most hilarious. He yells the funniest things at these people … like “look, look, LOOK!! you’re gonna fall” {boyfriend yelling at Ron before he drunkenly fell out of his bed and smashed his face on the floor}… it was actually quite funny. kinda.

[I refuse to watch the entire episode in the reflection of my iMAC ...lol]. Today’s outfit was inspired by ChicMuse & her fabulousness of turning the most simple staples into outfits able to strut around the town in. Her style is undoubtedly fabulous, and figures, foreign. I said it once, and I will say it again … Toronto just doesn’t have the same appeal [on Fashion] as Europe. BUT I will not move, NO. I will bring it and share it here … on my blog, one fabulous blog post at a time.
Today is my day off, and so I am spending it on an all-day-triple-date-with-my-nearest-&-dearest-friends-&-their-boyfriends. We are doing couple things all day. NO singles allowed, not even to gawk lol. I kid. We will be at Canada’s Wonderland all day, [nerds. yes] … and probably wineing and dining all evening!! Happy weekending bunnies, be good … or actually … I double dog dare you to be bad!! [P.S I got a new Blackberry and already am in love, boyfriend is NOT pleased]

NO MAN IS AN ISLAND ENTIRE OF ITSELF; – JOHN DONNE

My good friend Jared and I have been venturing all over our city  taking photo’s of whatever we can find. Monday we decided to leave the city, and subsequently head on down to the ferry docks to jump abroad and head to the island. Our goal was to catch the sun as it set over the city scape – and boy did the sun deliver! We both took some brilliant shots, [Jared more than myself, for I brought Rudiger ... and he was being a tad annoying]. Although the few I am posting today did work out well. Enjoy bunnies, my outfit, although not clear from these shots [will post later tonight] is inspired by my dearest robynlianne .

love you bunnies.

CHAIN CHAIN CHAYAYAYAYAN ; CHAIN OF FOOLS. – AREATHA FRANKLIN

OK well the brief hiatus was sincerely not my fault, although I suppose … it was. As previously stated, I started a new job in a lovley bumping advertising agency in the city. I am just settling in and am truly exhausted when I get home, go for my run with my pup, call the boyfriend, call my mum, shower and then before I know it I’ve landed in bed without a thing to eat. Therefore I am trying to find time to eat over blogging. Here is a glimpse of what I wore to brunch with my mum today. I will be spending the weekend with her, today we are hanging out at my apartment, going for brunch, then heading back north to have dinner and a movie date!
Happy Weekending Bunnies.

IF YOU’RE STILL ALIVE MY REGRETS ARE FEW : IF MY LIFE IS MINE THEN WHAT SHOULDN’T I DO? – METRIC : HELP I’M STILL ALIVE

Today has been one of those days where you can feel it whilst laying in bed ; its “just going to be a blah of a day”. Not good, not bad. Just a mindless day. I am very fortunate to work in an environment that is never boring, so in fact, I am always stimulated by something fascinating, it’s just I seemed to roll around my bed a lot last night, and woke up an hour earlier than my alarm and proceeded to get ready for work to come to realize at 8:00 AM that I had an hour to spare. I suppose the rolling around in my bed was in part due to my running around the city last evening with my good friend Jared. Jared and I took advantage of the FREE METRIC CONCERT hosted by Samsung Mobile last night at Union Station in our city. Toronto. Below is my documentation of such an evening. Although, you’d never know I was actually at the concert – for there were so many sweaty people – I stayed clear of even trying to get a good shot of the band. The music was all I needed.
Above is where I live. It is also where most of my photo’s are taken (whatiwore). I could never live any other place – it is perfection. It is home. Home is where I will be tonight, vegging for I am exhausted and feel as though I have yet to take a second of time to myself. Although, I do have plans … we’ll see.

UNICORNS I LOVE THEM, UNICORNS I LOVE THEM, UNI UNI UNI UNICORNS I LOVE YOU. -AGNES FROM DESPICABLE ME

I had a wonderful long weekend, although that is depending on who you ask. I made a lot of plans, with a lot of different people – I am a busy girl – I like to stay active and never really schedule time to relax. It’s just not in my nature, I don’t need it, but I know my friends do, so I book back-to-back sessions with my friends, one  right after the other … usually anyway.
Only this weekend took on a different approach – I was completely low-key. It was Caribana in the city, so, naturally, I fled.  I drove up north to catch a film with friends at the drive-in-theatre.
And of course I brought along my camera, for if you can’t already tell – rarely do I venture and not bring it out with me. I try to avoid the ”shit! I forgot my camera” moments – that still happen more frequently than I’d like. [*side note: these moments are not nearly as bad as the "shit! I forgot my battery pack" moments]. These photo’s turned out quite lovely, the first, was a happy mistake – 30 second shutter speed – the second was a wandering moment with my best friends kid sister.

We saw Despicable Me [yes again!], and … oh God, Charlie St. Cloud. NOTE* by far one of the worst movies I have ever seen. That is all I can say about it.
Saturday I work up relatively early to get my butt kicked at the gym by one of my best guy friends, this guy is ripped – so naturally I begged him to go easy on me – I  told him I am an elliptical girl – or stair master, I do not venture over to the dark side of weights and machines. Approximately thirty minutes into my cardio I was whisked away to the dark side of the moon.
Working out turned into a two hour pain endurance session followed by a stop to the Portuguese bakery for some freshly made treats { obviously we purchased the fattiest treats, what’s the point in working out and burning all those calories if you aren’t going to give them back to your body? }. Next, was tanning and laying poolside whilst listening to conversations about marriage and love.
Sunday was spent with the boyfriend and his family who have just come home from Europe. They traveled to Spain and Portugal and brought me back the bangles { photo below } and a lovely hand painted tea-pot { I have the craziest obsession with vintage tea sets, and vintage vanity chairs FYI }. Strange. I know.
The photos below were taken on a mer road trip with my mum on Monday – we live in the country – so this was not far from our home. We are surrounded by lush spaces, horses and farms. I couldn’t ask for a better place to retreat to on the weekends. Oh, and breakfast is always made for me every weekend, I happily walk downstairs to my mum buzzing away making me treats!

MY SUNDAY BEST! {HAPPY DAY WITH THE BOYFRIEND}

“love of mine, someday you will die, but I’ll be close behind … I’ll fallow you, into the dark.” {death cab : I’ll fallow you into the dark}
Just a simple day, him & I.
He is a great photographer … well he should be anyway – he graduated in design! {architecture, so technically not photography, but we all dabble a little here, and there}.
We had a fantastic day, spending our “anniversary” together. We didn’t do anything extraordinary. Simply, we spent it doing the everyday things we love and seem to take for granted.
10:00am – woke up, snuggled.
11:00am – quick shoot on route to frans
11:20am – eating eggs benedict, earl grey tea & coffee {oye, again! … I had spinach with mine to try and convince myself it was a healthier option}
12:20pm – headed to the mall to wander & window shop
2:45pm – cried in Indigo Books over VOUGE PARIS COLLECTIONS A/W 2011 issue. A mere $44.95 !! so I purchased the new I-D mag instead
3:00pm – in theatre with boyfriend to watch Despicable Me
5:00pm – headed to our favourite restaurant in Toronto, our go-to littleholeinthewall … Little India on Queen West
6:30pm – took rudiger on a walk
7:00pm – played Wii sports until 10:00pm =)
Below are some shots of our day & of course, what I wore.

WHOA BLACK BETTY BAM-A-LAM {SONG OF THE DAY; OUTFIT OF THE DAY}

In short, brunch with my lovely best gay boyfriend Adam Mazerall in the gayhood in which we both live. We headed to the local chop shoppe {a.k.a an elegent-esq place to chomp on a much needed eggs benny and feta & spinach omelette.
And this is what I wore today.
Side note, I was also surprised by the boyfriend at 2:00am – I went balistic in grumpy mode for I was fast asleep & he wanted to jump all over my bed with our pup.
Incase you ever need to know, that is not the way to wake me up from my beauty sleep.
Happy weekending!
P.S thanks to my dear friend J who always points out when I do silly things with html. =)

ALL HAIL ELLE U.K {SAY IT OVER & OVER LIKE A CHANT!!}

Today is the day the UK launched their ELLE A/W COLLECTIONS and whilst hassling a twitter friend and fellow fashiong blogger, Ms. Emmy Louise Westbrook from Chain Link Fashion to continue on her  hunt for TWO copies in the UK, she cleverly {knowing my impatience was to set in} suggested I check out ebay! And you know what, there it was, for $15.oo Canadian. I am unhappy to report I will obviously have to wait five-to-ten business days. But thats the price I’ve gotta pay for not living in a fashion capitol. Below is the cover of said collections mag – and with the smooth and whimsical variances of colour, its hard to tell at first glance that you are looking at 10,000 runway looks. Enjoy the cover below, I will post more when I  get my edition, until then, Ms. Susie Bubble from Style Bubble depicts almost everything I’m sure I would love.

BACK TO BASICS {MY BASICS FOR THE MODERN OFFICE}

Seeing as I will be working a 9-5 come July 26th, I thought it would be appropriate to shop in my own closet/my mum’s closet up north to salvage some savvy finds to wear to the office! Now, I will admit I am not a casual dresser {even whilst writing this post I find myself in an over-sized lilac coloured men’s dress shirt, rolled up sleeves and (although these are casual) cutt-off jean shorts}, I feel I am always over dressed {which I love}, and this includes what I wear to the office. You will never find me wearing a band t-shirt. (I own one, Brad Paisley, Jack Daniels style T reading “alcohol”, that the boyfriend bought me two summers ago from our road trip to NY, to see Brad & Jewel), or for that matterany style graphic t-shirt! You will never see me in light denim jeans, probably because I don’t own a pair. You will also never see me in plaid. EVER! Now, although this is to the office, the same applies to my own personal every-day-life. I just am not a fan of all the above. Instead I choose C, shopping for things with bold prints or basic staples that I can mix with vintage jewellery or snaz up with my latest Marc Jacobs shoes! Below is the basics, the classic every day 9-5 look I adore on women in our city. An ode to them, the workaholic chic urbanite who takes over Toronto.<

* { Also, minor side track, today marks five years with my boyfriend. Happy anniversary boog. }

WHAT I WORE, A DEDICATION {& QUITE POSSIBLY THE START OF SOMETHING FABULOUS}

Today is a unique style of a day, Enbridge gas posted a notice on my door regretting to inform x______ that they have suspended their account, only … it wasn’t MY account, and it is MY gas, but not MY name … “huh?”, well its all sorted, and although I wont have gas until Monday I decided to do something a little different and post my daily outfit.
Jessica Schroeder is a blogger from New York, USA. She is, without a doubt, {if not already}, on her way, to the top of the world. Her blog is What I Wore and it is here you can see her posts of {sometimes multiple} daily outfit changes! Jessica is among fifty or so talented fashion bloggers I follow, and uniquely enough, she is my first “ode to the fashion blogger”.
It is her who inspired me to start my own sense of fashion{esq} blog, and here I will post weekly style images of what I wore.
