HOLLA! two blog posts *gasp, in one week. wow eh? I know. I know. I am brilliant.
Not really. I think I mentioned previously that my dear blogging friend/co-worker/vegan/health nut Brigid from Otternonsense suggested that I start blogging twice a week, one outfit post from the weekend (as my vintage collection lives at my mums in the country) and one urbanite “professional” post, containing of what I wear to my office filled with handsome men, where there is no dress code, so I make it up. So there you have it, this is an example of what I wear to work, which, is never the same. I am lucky to be the only female in my office on a day-to-day basis. Brig works for the agency we hired, and is in once a week – other than that, it’s me and a bunch of men. YAY to life of a startup.
In other thoughts, can I just say … I hate the peplum trend. Yes, please re-read that sentence, and then re-look above. Yes, I realize that is the most insane thing to write, considering, I am … well… wearing peplum, but the truth is, I feel, the peplum trend isn’t for everyone … least of all me.
I try, boy do I try. In September when in NYC for Fashion Week I must of tried on over a zillion dresses, tops and skirts. For a petite girl like me, they dont make me look slim, they look like a babydoll top (and everyone, include me, would like to take a moment to thank Jesus that trend is gone for good). I feel like a wide-ass-mother-fucking-truck. There.
However, I became miraculously happy when I found this French Connection top … in truth I was sold before I even tried it on … it was the leather. We all know my obsession.
I was even happier when I tried it on and didn’t feel like a truck … small bus maybe … truck – no.
It seems that there is some secret peplum club taking place. My invite must of been lost in the mail. That’s ok, you can have your baby doll and I’ll raise you this leather trim peplum.
